Big Nick lacking tricks
A shoulder injury in round 1 of the NEAFL put Tom Nicholls out for almost all of last season, returning for just the last game. His ceiling from his last run of senior games in 2016 is below replacement level.
News that Jarrod Witts is now a co-captain of the club is bad for the future of Nicholls, who doesn't have any tricks left in his bag. Even if the club wants a ruck tandem, he's not worth starting.
