Moulded into a hardened competitor in defence after a junior career spent mostly in midfield, Tom Berry played 19 matches for the Lions' NEAFL side in their unbeaten premiership run. His debut season revealed his aptitude for the contest, averaging six tackles. Berry won 20 or more disposals on just three occasions in 2019 and has regularly struggled with disposal efficiency. Expect the younger brother of Jarrod to spend another year developing his craft in the twos. No interest for fantasy.
Put this Berry on ice

Handful of Berries
Like his brother Jarrod Berry before him, Tom Berry arrives on an AFL list with a history of positional flexibility from his junior career. He went at a goal per game from 20 disposals and 84 fantasy points from a small sample of five matches in the TAC Cup in 2018, with three clearances and five marks as well. Brisbane likes to start its young blokes off a HFF to give them a taste of senior footy without asking them to smash their bodies into the contest, including big bro Jarrod last season, and since that's where Berry has spent most of his junior footy he would be likely to slot in there too. 2019 is not the year to draft him for fantasy, though.
