If Port was hoping that Todd Marshall was going to be the now of their forward line last year instead of their far future, they were disappointed as they had to drop him by round 8 after three goals from six appearances. He returned in round 20 for three multiple-goal outings out of the last four, which is far more like the return they need from him as he doesn't contribute a lot else statistically. Since recruiting Charlie Dixon, Port's fortunes in attack have waxed and waned with his fitness, with everyone else playing support roles to the big bearded brute. Marshall is one of a number of options they have rotated through CHF in front of Dixon, none of which have impressed. At the age of 20 and underweight for that position by 5-10kg, it would be unfair to put a line through him. For fantasy, he's irrelevant.

Port hollers for Marshall
The death of Todd Marshall's father put a pall over the first part of his second season at Port, then a foot tendon injury caused by an ankle sprain dogged him for the rest of it with no games after July. He never threatened to get anywhere near fantasy baselines. Marshall will probably start at full forward in round 1 for Port covering for the injured Charlie Dixon, and a lot of hopes are vested in him by Port fans. He is no Josh Jenkins, or at least not yet, and he should not be considered for fantasy drafts.
Marshall yet to fire
He played second fiddle to Brett Eddy in the SANFL last year, but it was Todd Marshall who was picked late and stayed in the senior side for the final to play CHF. His statistical return was negligible. This is a bit of a broken record with Port youngsters: Jack Watts' arrival means Marshall will be consigned to the seconds in 2018 unless injury disaster strikes.
