Toby Pink has come into serious fantasy calculations this year with a few decent scores as a back rookie, a commodity in short supply in 2024 after early injuries to Zach Reid and Josh Gibcus. He has been playing third tall defender, a role that allows him to intercept when conditions suit. Unfortunately for him, North's mids can't deliver four quarters of constant pressure on the supply to his opponents, so he is unlikely to post Luke Ryan numbers. He will score in clumps, and be a decent cash cow if he can stay fit and in this nice little role.

Pink gets his party started
Initially selected with pick 54 in the 2017 Rookie Draft, Toby Pink impressed in 2018, booting 24 goals across 20 NEAFL games. Pink is a key position player who is strong overhead and in contested situations. His defensive pressure is applauded, especially for a man of his size. Pink is yet to stake his claim for senior selection and will have to wait his turn. He sits behind Tom McCartin for the backup attacking spot, and he remains on the rookie list as 2019 approaches. Young key forwards rarely set the house on fire anyway, so don’t draft Pink.
Don't think Pink
Toby Pink showed promise in the NEAFL during 2017, kicking 24 goals in 20 games, and with another preseason in the gym should become a daunting presence up forward. Pink is a mobile, tall target with a strong contested mark, but is unlikely to feature much at AFL level this year as he is still young and developing. Don’t draft him.
