Thomas Edwards came to Essendon as a mature-aged recruit at the age of 24, having built a reputation playing for Swan Districts in the WAFL as a goalscorer with some upside left to fulfil. It's not much fun playing in the front six for the lowly Bombers when they get belted by ten goals most weeks, but Edwards has been allowed to show his aerobic abilities with a higher role in recent weeks, coinciding with some better from from his side. At 191cm tall he is still a key forward in shape, but if he can develop an AFL-level tank he could be more than a flash in the hangar.
