A series of ankle injuries derailed utility Sean Lemmens' sixth season at the club. Suffering injury in the first preseason fixture, the Sun took till round 17 for an extended run in the senior side. He produced a career high tackle output, indicative of his tenacity when fielded as a pressure forward. The 2013 second-round draft selection is enjoying an uninterrupted preseason. Spending time in every region of the field over the past two campaigns, only coach Stuart Dew will know where he plays his footy in 2020. Never a dominant ball winner, look elsewhere for fantasy.
Lemmens a bit spotty

Lemmens needs squeezing
Called into senior action for the second half of last season following hamstring and wrist injuries,Sean Lemmens was used forward and back to little effect on the stat sheet. His contract was extended for three years last May, but he will miss the first month of 2019 due to an ankle injury. If Gold Coast is to finally become a good side, they have to squash list-cloggers like Lemmens out of the 22. They have enough roleplayers of his ordinary calibre, and he offers less upside than Callum Ah Chee in a similar role.
