A key pillar in the North Melbourne defence for the last decade, Scott D. Thompson has never shown an ability to be a relevant fantasy scorer. Thompson, in what could be his last year of AFL football, should not be drafted.

There was a time when Scott D. Thompson looked like becoming a prominent fantasy player, specialising in zoning off his man to intercept and working hard on the rebound. Those days seem to be over, as he stays at home next to his man at full back a lot more. Thompson has effectively switched roles with Robbie Tarrant, and plays a more close checking role which makes his fantasy value in draft leagues nearly nil. A role change past the age of 31 seems unlikely.
