2018 Draft Kit
From Kerridge to pumpkin
It took a long-term injury to Ed Curnow for Sam Kerridge to be given another chance in the senior side after looking way too good for the VFL, and he played Curnow's role for the last eight games in his usual industrious if unpolished manner. His tagging tasks were not generally successful, though he got his own ball as well to compensate.
Carlton's game plan is now based around ball retention, which means defensive midfielders like Kerridge have a place. It is also reliant on players making smart decisions, an issue that keeps cropping up with him. When Curnow returns for 2018 it would not be surprising to see Kerridge return to the VFL, and he should start in your league's free agent pool as well.
