After a standout second season in the key forward/ruck role, Peter Wright struggled to take the next step in his third campaign. Dropped following a dismal performance in round 20 against the Magpies, Twqo-Metre Peter ended the season out of the senior side. He was a regular contributor to the scoreboard, kicking multiple goals on seven occasions. Following an injury-riddled 2018 season, some observers may suggest Wright was harshly dealt with by coach Stuart Dew. Providing the ruck chop out for Jarrod Witts, the beanpole's involvement around the ground enables reasonable fantasy production. Twelve months to soon, expect an improvement aligned with greater opportunity.
Wright pick, wrong year

Wrong direction by Wright
Calf problems delayed the start to Peter Wright's last senior campaign until round 14, then a knee ligament strain ended his season after round 20. In between, all his key stats were down except tackles as in only one of seven appearances did he have Tom J. Lynch to help him out. Gods willing, Wright will have a lot more support around him in the way of tall forwards this season as the Suns have made a point of drafting talls at both ends of the ground to cover for departed stars. Two-Metre Peter is still due some natural improvement in year five, making him worth a late pick.
