Soccer-turned-football convert Max Lynch spent another year in the twos, chalking up 18 matches as the first ruck. Aside from four games of 20+ hit outs, his season didn't leave much to rave about. Lynch slides further down the selection table with the admission of Darcy Cameron, so look elsewhere for ruck support for your fantasy squad.
Leave Lynch alone

Lynch needs to lift
Coming from a soccer background, Max Lynch worked his way up to become the Murray Bushrangers' number one ruckman, before joining the Pies in 2016. Thereafter, Lynch has spent time in Collingwood’s VFL team but is yet to debut in the senior squad. The ruckman’s skills are solid, but he continues to develop his aerial work. Lynch adds depth to Nathan Buckley’s ruck division, but the injection of Jordan Roughead from the Bulldogs means that Lynch will slide down the pecking order at Collingwood. Still on the rookie list, we won’t be seeing Lynch anytime soon. Simply, don’t draft him.
Raise ahead for Lynch
Max Lynch was given a full season in the VFL in 2017, mostly sharing the ruck with Mason Cox. He rarely reached double figures in possessions. The project continues for Lynch. If he makes the seniors in 2019, you know the Pies are really playing the kids. He's not ready.
