Being a 23rd man on an AFL list is not so bad, as Matt Dea filled in 12 times for the senior Dons last season as a back pocket. He will miss the start of the season with a MCL strain. Dea's fantasy scoring is usually a long way the wrong side of the back baseline, so he's not the warm body that you need, even when fit.
See Dea, me flee

Matt stays on Dea fence
Quietly, Essendon resigned Matt Dea after only six senior games last season, chipping in to cover injuries playing the same undersized third tall defender role that he did in the suspension-affected 2016 side. That role is not conducive to Dea racking up stats, and his scoring dropped further behind replacement level in 2017. As with the Dons, he is best left out of your team unless big disaster strikes.
