A late-round mature-aged selection at the 2018 draft, Marty Hore enjoyed a quality debut season mostly covering for a raft of injury to senior key talls. As is the way with key defenders he was able to put up occasional big numbers, as in his 13-grab display against the Saints in round 5. Hore overcame a broken collarbone toward the end of the 2019 campaign and is enjoying an injury-free preseason. His one wood is intercepts and freeing himself from a man, neither of which he was able to do much last season in a spinning-plates environment. He is probably not best 22 when all are fit.
Unhand that Hore

Marty sure can score
A mature-aged player picked up from Collingwood's VFL side where he won their past two best & fairest awards, Marty Hore is an intercepting third tall defender with a booming left boot on the rebound. He was more than capable of racking up fantasy tons at the lower level, with stat sheets heavy on marks and kicks. Hore is an interesting choice for the Demons who already have a raft of All-Australian defenders on their list, and tend to play a seventh defender. Could Hore elbow his way past Bayley Fritsch to play loose man? The JLT will be instructive as to how Hore fits into the depth charts in a stacked team. Worth a look as a late flier.
