Malcolm Rosas booted a massive bag of seven goals two weeks ago in a home win over Melbourne. Last week, he was held scoreless from seven touches. Such is the lot of the small forward, almost wholly reliant on supply from midfield and the flow of the game around him. When he is able to rove at the foot of strong key forwards who draw packs to them, he can add plays to the highlight reel and score heavily. At other times, when things are tight and contested, players like Rosas can go missing. This is why fantasy coaches prefer high half forwards who accumulate to crumbers.

Malcolm Rosas has been on a lot of fantasy forward benches this season, coming on the bubble at a crucial time early in the season when there weren't a heap of other options available for fantasy coaches who wanted a downgrade option. As a start he has been unreliable to the extreme, as small forwards can tend to be in their first year. Hopefully if you own him you have been able to avoid starting him, but you can ride him into the bye rounds with some strong job security if not stellar scoring, with games against bottom 10 sides coming up in Hawthorn and North Melbourne.
Rosas cheeky around goal
A midfield/forward capable of the mercurial around goal, Malcolm Ross arrives looking to fulfil his undoubted potential. Selected from the Northern Territory, Ross averaged 16 touches, four tackles and a goal in the NAB League. Drafted primarily on potential than his current ability, expect Ross to spend extended time learning his craft at the lower level. No fantasy relevance.
