Difficult to don Dunstan
A true ball magnet and tackling machine, Luke Dunstan has all the tools to be a great scorer. The problem for Dunstan is, so far, his limitations in athleticism and skill have held him back from nailing a regular spot in the St Kilda midfield. He has shown flashes, as in the final six games of 2017 when he averaged 109 fantasy points. In 2018 he again found himself in and out of the team and struggled for form at times. Then again, he wasn't Robinson Crusoe on that score at the Saints last season! Keep an eye on Dunstan in the preseason, as if he looks cemented in the midfield he could be a very valuable late-round selection as a bolter.
What's your norm, Dunstan?
Following a post-season shoulder reconstruction, it took three trips to the VFL for Luke Dunstan to finally find his true self last season, saluting with six straight fantasy tons at the end of 2017 to jump by 34 points over previous form. He also hit the scoreboard in each of those games, four against finalists. Perhaps the example of Zach Merrett is instructive here. Dunstan may be hurt by the return of David Armitage from injury, as Zerrett was threatened by Bombers coming back from suspension in 2017. On the other hand, this is more likely Dunstan's new normal, so you can draft him in early rounds accordingly.
