A broken thumb followed by a neck injury limited Lukas Webb’s involvement during the 2018 season. Able to play as a half forward or through the midfield, the former second round selection was unable to play more than two games consecutively in the big league. A 32-touch performance against Coburg demonstrated his ability when in full flight. Entering his fifth season, the Bulldog is now free of the neck brace he had been forced to wear for six months following his injury. The focus for Webb will be to build consistent form and demonstrate his ability on a weekly basis. Historically, there is no reason to select Webb for our fantasy sides.

Webb searches for spot
In two blocks of two senior games in 2017, Lukas Webb could not recreate his VFL levels of accumulation of 24 disposals and 91 fantasy points, though he booted multiple goals twice. His personal best possession count at senior level was 17 in game three back in 2015, when he was a defender. Under Luke Beveridge, players who excel in the Footscray VFL team in the midfield often have to play a different role when they make the seniors, and so it is with Webb who was used forward in his limited appearances last year. Unless he explodes in the JLT with numbers that can't be ignored, he is undraftable.
