He is back and spudding it up more then ever! Leigh Brown, everyone's giant potato friend, has been having another predictable year.
After playing 20 games in 2009, he has played only 6 games to round 13. After a dismal first four rounds Malthouse finally dropped him, but the VFL could not contain this superstar and he was back for round 11 and 12! His only decent score was in Round 11 when he got 78 Dream Team points and 84 Supercoach points. Fluke? You betcha.
He is averaging 47.3 in Dream Team and 45.1 in Supercoach. Again we have waited for him to produce his breakout year, and this looks like its not going to be it. Come on spudelicious, try pulling out a ton before you get dropped again as you are nearing the end of your career.

Brown is the colour of spud
Debuting in 2001 for Fremantle, he played 21 games in 2001 and 2002, but did not impress, and was traded to North as a result where he showed his spudly qualities for six seasons, including his "breakout" year of 2006 where he amassed a whopping Dream Team average of 58!
After playing only 9 games in 2008, North traded King Spud to Collingwood - it is unknown at this stage what substance Mick Malthouse was smoking on trade night.
So far in season 2009, Brown has displayed moments of brilliance of the likes of dropping uncontested marks, giving away pathetic free kicks and always having a negative impact on Collingwood when he is within kicking distance of the ball.
I am certainly looking forward many more potatoes being awarded to Brown.
