Used exclusively forward for most of his first rookie season at the Crows for a return of less than a goal per game, Kieran Strachan was thrown into various ruck tandem roles for the last six weeks of the SANFL season where he averaged 17 hit outs. The recruitment of Billy Frampton is an indicator that the club doesn't want to have to play Strachan in the ones if they can help it, at least not at this still early stage of his development.
Don't pick Strachan, surely

Strachan off the stretcher
Despite playing only six VFL games across the past two seasons, the Crows picked up Kieran Strachan as the fourth ruckman in their depth chart in the rookie draft. There would have to be a fairly unlikely turn of events at Adelaide FC before Strachan even reached the seniors in 2019, let alone become fantasy relevant.
