A first season at Melbourne failed to result in better luck as Kade Kolodjashnij continued his battle with concussion. The former Sun failed to return after a round 3 outing against the Bombers. Kolodjashnij continues to suffer the effects, limiting him to running drills till at least Christmas. An exciting fantasy prospect throughout his time at the Suns, don't consider until proven he has overcome these concerns.

KK's Kris Kringle present
A second year ruined by concussion issues, possibly related to a neck problem, meant Kade Kolodjashnij couldn't play out a full season and was eventually poached from Gold Coast by the Demons. His role at the new club will reportedly shift from half back to a wing, perhaps strangely for a player with a 70% disposal efficiency in a position where he is ten points below the norm. Admittedly, Kolodjashnij didn't have anything to kick to at the Suns, and that will be much less of a problem at Melbourne. The coaches must have seen something they liked in his game to want to convert him, seeing as they have committed to Nathan Jones] on a wing and Angus Brayshaw often on the other. It seems likely that he will spend some time at Casey working on the new role.
