A member of the 2015 premiership team, James Frawley provided a veteran presence in defence for the oft-besieged Hawks. The ex-Demon was entrusted with key roles throughout the season, with his best performance coming against the Eagles in round 15 when he kept Josh J. Kennedy goalless. Entering his sixth season at the Hawks, coach Alastair Clarkson is expected to look to the future following the arrival of Sam Frost. Frawley is still the best option on the list to play against opposition gorillas, even if his disposal can be disastrous at times. Key defender, look elsewhere.
Just don't kick, Chip

Chipping away
The defensive leader at Waverley Park, James Frawley enjoyed a consistent 2018 campaign after overcoming the previous year’s season-ending toe injury to excel with a career-high five and a half intercept possessions per game and improved one-on-one contests. Standing the opposition's key tall each week, Frawley will be heavily depended upon to repeat his form once more. Creeping past 30 years of age, the former Demon will begin to battle the undefeated father time. The Hawks are still heavily reliant on their key defender and, having averaged just 15 games a season since the move east, the onus is on the medical staff to keep him on the park. A consistent performer in a football context, his reliability holds little worth in the fantasy world.
Painful crawl by Frawley
James Frawley was another senior Hawk blighted by injury in 2017, succumbing to turf toe in round 8. The former Demon competed against the opposition's key forward most weeks. As the Hawks continue to unearth quality half backs, less has been required of Frawley with ball in hand. He is unlikely to warrant selection in the draft or as a free agent.
