The smooth-moving Jacob Kennerley took natural steps in his inaugural season, taking the field 18 times with Geelong's VFL squad and doing enough to finish sixth in the club's best and fairest count. As an elite runner, it was no surprise when Kennerley lead the club's shuttle run to start the 2020 preseason, however he still has plenty of work to do if he wants a berth in the seniors. For now, he can run as fast as he likes into the free agent pool.

Sunrise for Kennerley
The new owner of the record for 2km time trials at the Combine is Jacob Kennerley, who played most of his last junior year at Norwood under-18s where he posted a high of 38 disposals. He was also noticeably quicker than everyone else at the Championships, where he averaged 18 disposals. The wingman shows a lot of potential but, as a first-year player, sits far down the selection pecking order for Chris Scott. The smooth mover is one to watch for the future, but since he’s unlikely to play much senior footy in 2019, don’t draft him.
