Ex-Docker Hayden Crozier went about his merry way in his second season at Whitten Oval, despite the minor setback of a damaged ligament in his toe. He was regularly involved in kick-to-kick defensive play, ranked second at the Dogs in marks and rebound 50s. Crozier has provided glimpses of fantasy potential, such as a fantasy score of 116 against Richmond last year. However, he has also churned out a number of sub-50s. It's hard to know what to expect from this high flier, and for that reason he's not worth much more than a late pick.

Crozier turns creator
Flipping from forward to defence upon his arrival to Whitten Oval, Hayden Crozier demonstrated his potential as a creative distributor. Suffering a MCL injury in his debut for the club, the former Docker's form only returned following the bye, recording 20 or more disposals in six of the final ten matches after previously not reaching the mark. He recorded a personal best in disposal and was ranked 22nd in the competition for rebound 50s per outing. Threatening to breakout for several seasons, Crozier will be most concerned with continuity in season 2019. Since their premiership year, the Bulldogs have struggled to rediscover the ball use that retired veterans Robert Murphy and Matthew Boyd provided. Entrusted with filling this need, expect Crozier to maintain his role for the upcoming campaign. A strong fantasy scorer when healthy, the Bulldog may be worth the gamble through the second half of the draft.
Easier times for Crozier?
The shift to a HBF in the second half of 2016 didn't stick for Hayden Crozier at Fremantle, and after regularly passing 20 disposals in that role he did it only once last season in his more usual HFF position. His scoreboard return of 13.17 from 19 matches was typically underwhelming. The Bulldogs have just lost a lot of their depth at half back with the retirements of Bob Murphy and Matthew Boyd, so Crozier will be hoping to vie with Shane Biggs to return to a spot he enjoys much more. His fantasy value is dependent on his role, so watch him in the JLT with a view to a speculator pick.
