A curious late riser in the 2016 draft class, key defender Griffin Logue began to shine in the latter half of 2019 after suffering a series of hamstring injuries which delayed his start to the season. Upon return he increased his disposal, mark and tackle outputs. Coach Justin Longmuir will continue to develop Logue as a key defender with the ability to take the intercept grab, long groomed to assume the CHB spot left by Michael Johnson. While a highly valuable role in the pursuit of team victories, there is far less value for fantasy coaches.
Beam in Logue's eye

Logue not in vogue
Key defender Griffin Logue made his debut back in 2017, amassing 17 games with a fantasy average of just 43. He was switched forward a number of times, but played every game from round 14 onwards in a regular defensive position. A rare bone disorder in his foot caused the youngster to miss all of the 2018 season. Logue has been able to put his injury worries behind him and is reported to be flying around on the training track. While he has stated his intent to slot in as Fremantle’s third tall defender, his role does not offer enough scoring potential to warrant any fantasy interest. Put a line through Logue.
Logue rolls into CHB
Even though he started and finished in the WAFL, Griffin Logue showed enough in the seniors in his second stint to suggest he is good enough to fill the boots of Michael Johnson. Like Johnson in the latter part of his career, Logue's role is going to involve too much attention paid to opposing CHFs. He will be a fine player, just not for fantasy at this point.
