Picked for round 1 last year after an early career beset by big knee ligament injuries, Ed Vickers-Willis lasted only a few minutes in Q1 before limping off with an ACL rupture. He had an arthroscope in November which slowed down his rehabilitation timeline.
Vickers-Willis will eventually join the battle to replace Scott D. Thompson in one of the key defender posts at North Melbourne, though by the time he gets his body right there will already have been a winner amongst the other contenders. He is not fantasy-relevant.

This EVW sputters a bit

Valued at North for his courage and leadership, Ed Vickers-Willis may well play a lot of senior football in 2019. However, on the evidence of VFL form and his 14 AFL games, he is not a good fantasy prospect.
While Vickers-Willis should not be in draft calculations, the scoring of half back flankers is difficult to predict so if he starts the AFL season well, he should come under consideration as a free agent.

After two years ruined by shoulder problems, Ed Vickers-Willis finally made his senior debut last year to average 14 touches off a HBF, only for a PCL injury to stop his run in round 11.
There must be something down in the water at Arden St that gives their young blokes an aversion to leather. Vickers-Willis is another in a long line of promising juniors to disappoint at the Roos.
