Curtis Taylor returns to the North Melbourne senior team at an interesting time in their development under Alastair Clarkson. They are still getting belted in most games on the scoreboard, not working together and failing to do the little things that make up a good on-field unit. Taylor is one player who has the capability to turn those KPIs green on Clarko's tablet with a roaming commission from half forward, with a ceiling similar to that of Tom T. Lynch if he hits form. Can North do what West Coast did and drag itself out of the cellar? Roleplayers like Taylor are one key to improvement.

Curtis Taylor has graduated from a designated half forward flank role in previous seasons to rotating through a wing as well in 2022, with a high point in round 3 when he racked up 23 touches and eight marks against Brisbane. He cemented a best 22 spot for the Kangaroos last year with 18 senior games, though it could be argued that being best 22 for North in recent years hasn't been much of an achievement. He is an interesting asset for dynasty fantasy leagues, as he still has a way to go to lift his scoring floor to make him startable.
Curtis Taylor is not supposed to be the focal point of an attack, suited much more to the third tall role, but today more focus is on him with Ben Brown out of the side. The media attention is on Majak Daw at full forward for obvious off-field reasons, but if the Kangaroos are to beat a bad team in Adelaide today then Taylor has to be much more influential to straighten the team up going forward. He will most likely be matched up on Jake Kelly, who may not be quite in the All-Australian conversation but is still an elite back-shoulder defender. Good luck!
Maybe leave Curtis
Mostly left in the VFL to develop in his first listed season, Curtis Taylor managed to average close to the forward baseline at that level, though with a lot of variation tied to how many goals he could snag. His two senior appearances produced a total of 12 disposals and no majors. Taylor is not quite tall enough to play key position forward so he's probably competing with Tarryn Thomas rather than the perennially disappointing Mason Wood. He is starting from too far back in depth charts and fantasy average to excite draft league interest just yet.
Maybe leave Curtis
A clever half-forward who pushes into the midfield, Curtis Taylor’s strengths at this stage lie in the quality, rather than quantity, of his disposals. It seems likely that Taylor will be exposed to AFL football at some stage in his first season, but he’s unlikely to make an impact on fantasy football.
