Charlie Spargo transferred from Melbourne in the off season looking for more opportunity as the Demons committed to youth. North Melbourne has already had its fair share of down years and high draft picks, so it needs a high half forward of the calibre that they haven't had since the peak years of Bailey Scott. Spargo was always behind Kade Chandler and Tom Sparrow on the depth charts for the Demons, but at North they haven't locked in that lucrative role yet, with their raft of younger draftees more focused on inside work. Spargo has as good a chance as anyone.

Sparsity from Spargo
The second year proved more difficult than the debut campaign for forward Charlie Spargo, dropped on three occasions with declines in disposal, marks and tackle output. Renowned for his pressure throughout his first season, he never reached a handful of tackles in 2019. Entering his third season and having shown significant potential in his first campaign, Spargo will be expected to take a large leap in production. A permanent fixture in the side at his best, the Dee has rarely demonstrated ball winning nous at the level. Look elsewhere this time round.
Sparse stats from Spargo
Making a name for himself as a pressure forward, Charlie Spargo managed to beat out a host of better-credentialed rivals on the Demon list to boot 12.8 from 15 games in his second year. He beat the forward baseline in less than half of his appearances. Spargo's role starts too deep and doesn't involve much in the way of centre rotations, making him a difficult start in fantasy leagues and outside the realms of draftability, even if you factor in some natural development going into season two.
No go for Spargo
A shoulder injury prevented Charlie Spargo from playing much in his last junior year, save for one game at the Championships. It will take a fair while for Spargo to build up enough strength and endurance to cut it at senior level, which may not happen this year at all.
