Brady Hough was given a spot in the West Coast inside midfield last week in the desultory loss away to Hawthorn, and did not do much with it. Not every player is suited to taking their turn in the pivot, and while the Eagles have Liam Duggan they probably don't need another version of him. Their defence is arguably the least well stocked of their depleted list, and Hough is an honest and hard worker keeping the plates spinning while the midfield fails to pressure their opponents. Whatever solution there is to West Coast's problems, Hough to mids is not the solution.
