Dropped following losses to the Magpies and Bombers, Allen Christensen required seven more weeks at NEAFL level before his next opportunity. The small forward played out the season thereafter, including a two-goal, sixteen-touch performance in the qualifying final against the Tigers. He signed a one-year contract in late October. Involved in 60% of AFL matches since arriving from Geelong during the 2014 trade period, Christensen has been unable to produce desirable fantasy scoring over the past four years. Expect the evasive playmaker to continue helping the Lions without adding much to the fantasy bottom line. Another to avoid.
Aged Bundy a rare drop

Rum turns in Bundy's form
The best thing that can be said about Allen Christensen's 2018 is that he played all 22 games coming off multiple shoulder surgeries, albeit he was KOed very early in round 11. He had good months and bad months, and surprisingly was shifted to defence in round 23 where he collected a rare haul of 26 disposals at a customarily high 76% efficiency. His better scores tend to come when he can get clear for big handfuls of marks, with goalkicking never a large part of his game. Christensen will be on everyone's watch list come the 2019 JLT series, as if it looks like he is going to move more permanently to half back then he looms as a serious fantasy prospect. He has always had the quality, and can rack up the odd big total of possessions running through midfield, but getting fed on the outside by the likes of Luke Hodge and Alex Witherden sounds lucrative. He should be drafted, and someone in your league may reach for him in middle rounds.
Sour taste for Bundy
A long-awaited return last May from a collarbone injury from mid-2016 for Allen Christensen was cut short by a shoulder cartilage injury at training that put him out for the rest of 2017. He has added 5kg in off-season training to better handle the physical load of AFL. In his last senior games he was tried as a half back with some success, after mostly starting in midfield at Geelong. After this length of time and with Christensen’s body shape changing, projecting his role and scores are fraught with uncertainty. This is one player well worth watching in the JLT. Defence is probably not the answer with the arrival of Luke Hodge, and the Lions need quality disposal forward of centre. Bundy will likely slot into a HFF/wing and be picked late in your draft.
