Aaron Hall has been piling on the premium fantasy scores for his new club North Melbourne in 2021, roaming across half back with supreme powers of accumulation. His disposal ration has been a heavily skewed 20:6, underlining his primary role of yeeting the footy out of defensive 50 time and time again. His game is so outside that he compiled 31 disposals against Essendon two weeks ago without a single one of them being contested. This can tend to limit his scoring in Supercoach, but he almost makes up for it with massive metres gained. If you haven't got him, why not?

Aaron Hall has been on the tips of the lips of many a fantasy coach this week, coming off a monster score against Melbourne where he waxed the footy with Jack Ziebell across half back until the cows came home, which in Hobart is about five o'clock. His scoring ceiling has always been massive as he is a seagull like few others, and his tandem with the Ziegull brought back memories of the Bowden brothers in days of yore. His floor is also low, though, and his body is a lot more fragile than that of the North Melbourne captain. Buy at your peril.
Hall's internal wall
We didn't see the best of Aaron Hall early last season at his new club and he was dropped to the VFL after round 6, and after another month he withdrew from the club to improve his mental health. Though he returned during August, he didn't make it back to gameday. At his best he is a highly damaging player, capable of bursting through packs on inside-outside runs. Viewed dispassionately, it is difficult to gauge Hall's fantasy worth as footy is still getting used to these necessary but indeterminately long breaks that interrupt a player's continuity. It is a matter of faith as to whether you believe he can get back to full strength in all parts of his game, so someone in your league will pick him up late and roll the dice on a boom or bust piece.

One of the great fantasy football teases, fans of Aaron Hall will be hoping that a change of scenery will return him to elite scoring ways in midfield. In early 2016, he played as an inside midfielder and was leading the Brownlow after three rounds with disposal totals of 36, 32 and 40. Despite this hot start, Hall’s role regularly changed since then and never fully returned to an inside role. Hall is a must draft player and is someone who, if you can get him in the middle rounds, has the potential to be a top 20 fantasy scorer in the league and a key piece in a fantasy premiership. It's not as if he will hide his light under a bushel in preseason, so everyone will know about him and it's just a question of how quickly in your draft someone reaches for him. Early rounds are not out of the question.
