flower HGA is so huge in cricket
Yeah, it's ridiculous how pretty much every team seems to only be able to do well at home these days.
Crazy. The excuse the commentators use is that they don't spend as much time in the country before the test matches start. Is this a reasonable excuse?

I think there's a lot of reasonable excuses which combine to make the whole HGA. Pitch differences, climate - temperature+humidity and even things like altitude (Broncos in the NFL are at a high altitude and are always very strong at home), crowd and media factors, used to playing at the ground, referee influence (refs will always tend to slightly favour the home team), the list goes on.

Sorry no refs in cricket.

has a point though, Aussies more used to bowling on Aus pitches, whereas we go to India for example and cant cope with ball not being over shin height and spinning at 90 degree angles!

crowds also have an impact, I think in one of the last super bowls on the north east coast the crowd scored 130+ decibels and they are nicknamed something like the 19th man!

Jukes

Haha you're close mate :P

Seattle's showerty fanbase pride themselves on yelling at the other team's offence so they can't hear snap counts or play adjustments at the line of scrimmage, they ripped off calling themselves the 12th man from Texas A&M's college. They look stupid and are a showerty fanbase but it sometimes works. flower seattle.

did Warner look a little angry/frustrated in this test too anyone else? his body language and the way he went out looked to me like his mind wasn't exactly on it! the form he is in the balls he went out to should have been better handled

possible from not getting captaincy

Re: next keeper

Won't be the next one, but probably the one after; Sam Harper

Mate of mine who IIRC is in the Bushrangers 2nd XI, captained Victoria U19s I think it was (or possibly Australia) in a number of tournaments, and just got a rookie contract with the Melbourne Stars. Played in their practice match last week and took a screamer behind the stumps apparently. Here's the link to the practice match report. He only turned 18 last week as well, has some amazing talent.

Jroo

Joe Burns in for Mitch Marsh for the Boxing Day test.

Nah, he can play anywhere.

Jay

Yeah I'm happy they've brought Burns in.. Only if they don't mess him around like they did with Hughes and Doolan.
