Fyfe's Night
7 September 2017

A dominant finals series has helped Nathan Fyfe take out his second Winchester Medal. After struggling through the middle of the season with injury, Fyfe proved that at full fitness he is still a star, polling 24 out of a possible 30 votes over the Werewolves final 6 games of the season. Runner-up Dayne Zorko led Fyfe by 1 vote at the conclusion of the Home and Away season, however a suspension in the first week of the finals, followed by 2 sub-par games, meant he didn't poll a vote in the finals series.

Young gun Patrick Cripps finished the count in 3rd place. Cripps was leading the count prior to being injured in Round 13 and missing the remainder of the season. Robbie Gray finished 4th in the count, whilst up and coming midfielder Jack Steele's breakout year was rewarded with a Top 5 finished.

Alex Witherden won the Rookie of the year award after a strong finish to the season whilst Fyfe was also awarded the Player of the Finals award, polling 14 out of possible 15 votes.
