2015 Best and Fairest Votes:

The Cruisers vote system is a basic 5 to 1 voting.

Round 1, Loss againsts Werewolves:

Going up against the favorites in round 1 is never an easy task. And the Werewolves showed their dominance early in the game and even finished strong. Highlights being youngster Dylan Shiel with an impressive 119 on debut with the new coach. First gamer for the Cruisers, Ryan Griffen struggled to find his feet, even being appointed Captain. But the Cruisers were not good enough and the Werewolves got on top comfortably.

5. Dylan Shiel (119)
4. Patrick Dangerfield (108)
3. Travis Boak (97)
2. Cale Hooker (91)
1. Kurt Tippett (88)

Round 2, Win against Hurricanes

The game that went the Cruisers way. Waite booting an amazing 7 goals set the tone for first win for the Cruisers. Dylan Shiel kept up his good form with a nice 136 points, and Stephen Coniglio showed what he could do with a full game. The Captain's choice was better this week with Patrick Dangerfield scoring 112 which helped the Cruisers get over the line easily.

5. Jarrad Waite (162)
4. Dylan Shiel (136)
3. Stephen Coniglio (127)
2. Cale Hooker (122)
1. Patrick Dangerfield (112)

Round 3, Loss against Hedgehogs

This game should of been in the Cruisers favour, with the large amount of injuries plaguing the Hedgehogs. Dangerfield and Shiel getting shut out of the game didn't help, along side new comer Bradley Hill a late out giving Jarrad Waite not much time to get ready for the game. But on a plus side, Devon Smith 113, and Stephen Coniglio 122 continued to show their skill even when being down. And first gamer Jackson Ramsay played well in the defense for us. But the Hedgehogs got over the line and beat the Cruisers.

5. Stephen Coniglio (122)
4. Devon Smith (113)
3. Cale Hooker (99)
2. Travis Boak (92)
1. Jackson Ramsay (83)

Round 4, Win against Breaker

A very close game, not even a goal in it. Mr Consistent Cale Hooker, the iron man in defense scoring 107, possible the difference. Dylan Shiel another best on performance with 141 having a great year at this time. Along side Devon Smith 120 and Travis Boak 124 who scored well again for the second week in a row. All in all a very close contest, but the Cruisers just got over the line in the end.

5. Dylan Shiel (141)
4. Travis Boak (124)
3. Devon Smith (120)
2. Cale Hooker (107)
1. Patrick Dangerfield (106)

Round 5, Loss against Hawks
The game that got away, midfield starred for the Cruisers this week, with Dangerfield, Shiel and Boak all dominating the game, but the lack of scoring by the forward line and the lack of defensive pressure from the backline let the game slip away, although Devon Smith continues to show his skills up forward. But the Hawks took over the game late, leading to a loss for the Cruisers making them 2-3 for the season.

5.Patrick Dangerfield (119)
4.Travis Boak (115)
3.Dylan Shiel (111)
2.Devon Smith (104)
1.Mike Pyke (100)

Round 6, Win against Bunnies
A fair game for the Cruisers out of form forwards, with Tippett, Smith and Mitchell playing strongly providing plenty of scoring chances. The midfield played well, despite Captain Dangerfield not getting too much of the ball only stringing together an average game by his standards. The back-line has been poor for a 2nd week in a row, mainly with the late out of MacMillan and the injuries of Ramsay and Mackie don't help. But all in all, the Cruisers got over the line putting them to 3 wins and 3 losses.

5. Kurt Tippett (122)
4. Travis Boak (111)
3. Devon Smith (106)
2. Ryan Griffen (100)
1. Stephen Coniglio (99)

Round 7, Loss against Badgers
The rivalry between these coaches made this a very hyped game, but it was the Badgers who controlled the entire game. The Cruisers weren't in front for a single second of the game. Solid games from Dangerfield, Coniglio and Shiel. But the under performance from Tippett set up the loss for this week after playing so well last week.

5. Patrick Dangerfield (119)
4. Stephen Coniglio (111)
3. Dylan Shiel (103)
2. Jarrad Waite (95)
1. Bradley Hill (87)

Round 8, Win against Owls
Coming into this game as the underdog against the possible top 4 side. The Cruisers came out strong with great midfield performances from Captain Shiel (122) and Vice Captain Dangerfield (121). Backline held well this week for a chance, lead by Cale Hooker (106). The sub Ryan Griffen (107) made a great impact replacing Mike Pyke (23), but the man of the match goes to forward Devon Smith (124), which lead the Cruisers for their 4th win for the year.

5. Devon Smith (124)
4. Dylan Shiel (121)
3. Patrick Dangerfield (120)
2. Ryan Griffen (107)
1. Cale Hooker (106)

Round 9, Win against Leeches
Cruisers came into this yet again as the underdogs and showed no mercy from the start. Captain Dylan Shiel (88) was held out well by the Leeches, but it was midfielders Patrick Dangerfield (168) who decimated the Leeches and young indigenous player Bradley Hill (119) who controlled the game. Along with Andrew Mackie (97) serving well in defense and Travis Colyer (93) performing well for the forwards. But it was a comfortable win for the underdogs who now go to 5-4.

5. Patrick Dangerfield (168)
4. Bradley Hill (119)
3. Travis Boak (118)
2. Andrew Mackie (97)
1. Travis Colyer (93)

Round 10, Loss against Magic
Not even the late change of Nick Suban was going to save the Cruisers this week. Everything that could of gone wrong did, when the Magic's team obliterated the hopeful cruisers. Patrick Dangerfield (119) was the atlas of the team, with the Captain trying his best to carry his team, with fellow midfielder, Stephen Coniglio (109). The backline tried to hold it's own with Andrew Mackie (107) and Jamie MacMillan (82). But it wasn't enough with only 2 midfielders playing to their best potential.

5. Patrick Dangerfield (119)
4. Stephen Coniglio (109)
3. Andrew Mackie (107)
2. Devon Smith (99)
1. Dylan Shiel (90)

Round 11, Loss against Hoods
It was a big match for the Cruisers this week, going into this as big underdogs. The Cruisers 2 best midfielders lead the pack in Patrick Dangerfield (106) and Dylan Shiel (106), but it wasn't enough, the Hoods midfielders just had too much power for the cruisers. Cale Hooker (99) was back to top form as David Hale (96) helped to close the gap. But sadly the Cruisers wouldn't perform to the same standard and lost by a small margin

4.5. Patrick Dangerfield (106)
4.5. Dylan Shiel (106)
3. Cale Hooker (99)
2. David Hale (96)
1. Devon Smith (82)

Round 12, Win against Dragons

The Cruisers came into this game being the favorites and they showed why. Cruisers midfield were way too strong for the Dragons with Griffen (111), Dangerfield (106) and Boak (106) carving it up setting up the big win. But the big surprise was rebounding defender MacMillan (130), who cleaned up everything in the back half and ultimately being the game winner for the Cruisers, with them getting up fairly easy in the end.

5. Jamie MacMillan (130)
4. Ryan Griffen (111)
2.5. Patrick Dangerfield (106)
2.5. Travis Boak (106)
.5. David Hale (96)
.5. Jarrad Waite (96)

Round 13, Win against Steins

Another game where the Cruisers were expected to win and still delivered to goods. Steins weren't without their tricks, but yet again the inform midfielders from the Cruisers showed their worth. Two great games in a row for rebounding defender MacMillan (104) and the slick midfield skills of Griffen (115), Boak (102), Shiel (100) and Captain Dangerfield (100) showed the Steins why the Cruisers deserve to have a crack at the top 8. Cruisers in a landslide.

5. Ryan Griffen (115)
4. Jamie MacMillan (104)
3. Travis Boak (102)
1.5. Dylan Shiel (100)
1.5 Patrick Dangerfield (100)

Round 14, Loss against Rams

A big showdown and oppotunity for the Cruisers to crack into the top 8 and stamp their chances for finals glory, sadly the consistency of the Rams was too much for the Cruisers, but it wasn't all bad. MacMillan (104) for a 3rd straight game killed it off the backline with the same midfielders each game showing their love and passion for the Cruisers. Griffen (115) with a best on ground performance for the Cruisers tried his best, but ultimately it wasn't enough to take down the inform rams

5. Ryan Griffen (115)
4. Patrick Dangerfield (112)
3. Jamie MacMillan (104)
2. Travis Boak (102)
1. Dylan Shiel (100)

Round 15, Win against Stiens

This was an planned to be an easy win for the Cruisers, and it was. But the most important thing was if they won this match by a large amount they would crack into the 8. But sadly the Cruisers were to miss out by just .67%, but no have 3 games to get ahead, with the inform Patrick Dangerfield (147). Tippett (113) and Murdoch (100) played well in the forward line, as Travis Boak (99) has kept his form steady to give the Cruisers a big chance to show off in the finals

5. Patrick Dangerfield (147)
4. Stephen Coniglio (123)
3. Kurt Tippett (113)
2. Jordan Murdoch (100)
1. Travis Boak (99)

Round 16, Win against Hedgehogs

The first encounted ended in a way that the Cruisers didn't expect. Getting decimated by a hefty sum. But this time it went the other way, Devon Smith (147) with a best on ground performance with Travis Boak (129), Patrick Dangerfield (106) and Stephen Coniglio (105) seem to be performing consistently through the midfield. The Cruisers took this one with ease, and still sit 9th on the ladder, but look to split into the 8.

5. Devon Smith (147)
4. Travis Boak (129)
3. Patrick Dangerfield (106)
2. Stephen Coniglio (105)
1. Andrew Mackie (95)

Round 17, Win against Magic
The first time these two met Magic snuck underneath the Cruisers are pinched the victory, this time the boys wouldn't allow it, with the Cruisers midfield destroying it yet again with Captain Dangerfield (133), Coniglio (98) and Boak (99) thriving even after the injury of Dylan Shiel. And Cale Hooker (123) and Sean Dempster (105) holding up the back line securing the easy victory and climbing into the 8 with 1 week left in the finals.

5. Patrick Dangerfield (133)
4. Cale Hooker (123)
3. Sean Dempster (105)
2. Travis Boak (99)
1. Stephen Coniglio (98)

Round 18, Win against Leeches

The game the Cruisers needed to win to secure themselves in the finals. Kurt Tippett (143) turned it up with a best on ground performance. With Dangerfield (81) playing one of his worst games of the year, it was up to Boak (111) and Coniglio (106) to turn it up and win it for the Cruisers. Yet again the defense out played our forwards with Dempster (101) and Andrew Mackie (90) with the Cruisers just pipping the win, most likely with the home ground advantage.

5. Kurt Tippett (143)
4. Travis Boak (111)
3.Stephen Coniglio (106)
2. Sean Dempster (101)
1. Andrew Mackie (90)

Pendles got pretty unlucky. Scored good weeks, but then someone like Tippett or Griffen would poll a huge score.
