San Francisco Grizzlies 15.14.104 lost to Las Vegas Sinners 17.14.116
(Real: 1561 vs 1743)

Stig actually cost himself 30 SC by telling me how to read a teamsheet correctly and not having Hewett's 0 in there as a 7th midfielder, but not that it matters as Vegas secure a reasonably comfortable victory, thanks in part to the early struggle of Hooker, who with that name really should be playing for Vegas tbh. Always going to be hard going up against Vegas when the swans have a strong victory (thanks SR), but plenty of room for improvement in the form of having more than one player across the forwards and utilities scoring more than 75 (including a 30 and two 50s).

Quito Quetzals 18.9.117 defeated Colorado Avalanche 15.11.101
(Real: 1757 vs 1521)

Colorado took it up to Quito all round, but a disastrous end to Sunday (Maynard 56x1.5, Atley 55, Simpkin 73, Cameron 31, Highmore 49, Connolly 35) cost the Avalanche dearly, as did Burgoyne's 400th game stinker. Have to recognise why they were in the hurt in the first place though - Sam Walsh. As for Quito, they avoided a second straight loss and kept their gap on Boston, and will pray Anaheim can do them a favour to extend it.

Carolina Panthers 16.15.111 lost to Ottawa Otters 18.8.116
(Real: 1665 vs 1744)

A big scalp for Ottawa, as they account for Carolina on the road in a pretty close game. It came down to the talls on Sunday, with Roma 100 and Ryder 84 doing as expected - compared to Milo's 30 and Naughton's 31 costing Carolina dearly, while Bont only managing 83 as captain sunk another nail into the Carolina coffin, as the Sinners will plausibly pass them this week on %.

Anaheim Mighty Ducks 18.7.115 lost to Boston Terriers 20.10.130
(Real: 1725 vs 1957)

Fantastic performance by Boston, putting up a great score despite Sidebottom's 33, Neale being out, and not having a single "outlier" 130+ score. They picked the right CCs, had a plenty of tons, and most of those who didn't ton still managed 80+. Anaheim rode Dangerfield's 184 to a competitive score, but not even that could make up for a host of potatoes in the XVIII - four scores between 11 and 41. Probably a deserved curtains for Anaheim's finals tilt, while Boston put a two-game gap between them and Carolina/Vegas while keeping touch with Quito.

Houston Bombers 17.8.110 defeated Chicago Sharkes 16.11.107
(Real: 1644 vs 1603)

CCJ and Guthrie VC were balanced out by Berry and Redden, so on a pretty even playing field Houston rose to the occasion to leapfrog Chicago into the top six, but of course they'll have to keep winning more than Chicago due to the massive percentage difference. The 100 and 109 as CCs against 87 and 40 as C/VC was a huge difference, especially given the quality of the players selected to lead. Now, Houston need to hold onto sixth spot and maybe even snag a finals win - do you believe in miracles?

Wisconsin Cockerels 22.14.146 defeated New Brooklyn Hawks 18.7.115
(Real: 2183 vs 1727)

NBH really counting down the days until Parish gets returned (subject to polling), but they may wish to find a loophole to grab another Darcy, who imho undeservedly stole BOG honours from Parish, at least he won't be stealing DP3's Brownlow. Nor will Jack Steele, but he tried his best and scored the most points by a player for the match thanks to the big C.
