Do SR based on the Frawley Compensation pick and was hoping for a pick in the 20's for Patful.

By the looks of it, to get a rd 1 compo pick you need to have atleast 2m + earning power left.

Malceski deal was 3 years at 500k thats why its 2nd round. Can't really expect more than that given age tbh

End of round 1 would have been reasonable, it would have been pick (20?) which given eski's ability and age probs would have been right.


then again, Buddy's compo was worse :P

500k isn't a small contract.

Also, the ability of a player should be factored in with their age- as in it should take into account how many years they have left rather than how old they are.

yeh I know and I agree ability should be included. But it isn't unfortunately. Think it was the 3 years and his age that = 2nd round.  compared to Higgins who got 4 years at 400k = 2nd round also, and is younger
