Mailman the 2nd

Think this is a big preseason for Reid, Cunningham, Lloyd, Shaw and Goodes.

If Goodes and Shaw go again, they have to get their bodies and fitness up to scratch. Let down too many times during the season. I'd almost rather neither play on into 2015 though.

Reid's progress is pretty straightforward, just needs to make consistent impacts.

Lloyd and Cunningham have to make the next step.

Anakin and Cunners have the added incentive of Titch knocking on the door...

Plus if Shaw leaves, does that open the door for someone like Biggs? Or will we trade someone in?

I'm really worried about Reid. Ok, he'll only be 23 next year, but his development has been painfully slow. Looked third-rate in the GF, and didn't have too many game where he dominated, despite having the luxury of taking the third best defender. I also don't think we need a LRT-like swingman in our team (unless he's brilliant, which Reid currently isn't). I might even be putting him on the trade table and see what people offer.

Apparently Malceski looking at signing with the Suns...

Heard this too, would love that.

So it appears that the Saints are after Luke Parker with pick 1 in the draft

Wow but unlikely Swans will bite surely

seriously doubt it. Unless Parker wanted out, I don't see why Sydney would trade a young player who's just established himself as a gun for a player who might become one.

That would be awesome, would take GC to next level and screw Sydney.

I don't think there's much risk in him going around again if he feels up to it- worst case scenario if he really can't hold his spot sydney could just be like 'yeah, goodes is injured and out for the season.'

I'd say the same to you, but Carlton are doing that themselves

And tbh we don't like first round draft picks :P

except Jude Bolton

Carlton more or less completely out of trying to get Mitchell traded so he'll be here next year.

Parker won't be traded, St.Kilda would be more likely to turn pick 1 into more 1st rounders.

Malceski looks like he's gone.

Another backman and ruckman need to be targeted this period. Derickx and Laidler were whatever players, need to get something more.
