Hawthorn's depth continues to shine with midfielder Alex Woodward last night being crowned the J.J. Liston Trophy winner for the best and fairest in the VFL in a pulsating count.

Woodward, who has undergone two knee reconstructions since joining Hawthorn, is the second Hawk in successive years to win the coveted medal after Mitch Hallahan was a joint winner last season. Sam Mitchell is the other current Hawk to have won a Liston Trophy back in 2002.

Congratulations Woody, we all knew you had it in you! 2015 could be your time to step up and deliver it in the seniors!

Did Ben Ross not win one too?

Nige

Yeah, Ben Ross won it in 2012.

Mitch Hallahan was the joint winner last year.
