Prestia + 24 for 6 + future 2nd rounder done, according to HS

Finally and the second rounder is handy , if this talk of Lids to GWS for a 1st round pick is true we will have some ammo for the draft plus we might be able to squeeze a player or a later pick out of GWS as well Lids is a high quality player add Nankervis if we can land him as well this will be the best trade period for the Tiges in a long time  ;D

Nathan Vardy has settled on West Coast as his preferred club. Expect Cats to be offered WC’s 4th round pick (72).

Happy to take him considering he won't cost much, but not expecting more than 5 games a year :P

Still need a ruck - hope we can lure Wilbur

Yeah, he's definitely not the answer.  We still have Giles on the books right?  No point getting another back up ruckman you would think...

Yeah nah I like this. Vardy is hugely talented, and at 25 yrs old Geelong have basically done all the development for us. He costs nothing, so having Lycett, Vardy, Giles as a ruck combo next season is fine imo, then we draft a young kid or even another mature ager to develop as a fourth choice.

Got through 14 games this season so thats a definite improvement. With a change of scenery who knows what happens!

So Prestia for 6 considering Richmond will get ~24 next season

I reckon tiges if they keep lids could be a smokey next year just depends on yarran lids.

bring in Prestia Yarran and then have a healthy lids, could do some major damage.

Yeah maybe but don't think you can put to much hope in Yarran he has had to many issues in his career lazy inconsistent at the Blues turned up to the Tiges overweight and out of shape and not a game he is just about cooked but you never know , the coach has to stop games where they are insipid and uncompetitive  like late this year more a concern to me but it is looking like a much better trade period for us this year

Also looks like we could be getting Caddy in, which would be great if it doesn't cost us Lids

It won't be Lids. Cats can't fit him in under their salary cap, which is the reason Caddy might actually be squeezed out.

Richmond do damage Holz?

What? Bad bad call

The Cats wanted Lids and 2nd round pick for Caddy haha they can keep him but Lids seems to be creating some more late interest and so he should he is a high quality player Tiges have to drive a hard bargain if he is to go like the Blues and Gibbs

Would be a great get for the Tiges, and a big loss for the Cats. Especially since they've unloaded a shower-load of picks/future picks/young talent for Danger/Henderson/etc.

Broken high quality player ***

GC: Hawks, we simply won't accept picks only for JOM. Any deal must include an established and experienced player. We also aren't interested in your first rounder from next year.

Also GC: Here you go Richmond, have Prestia for picks only (including your second rounder from next year).

In fairness, not sure there is all that much to like about the richmond list you would take....  :P

Next year's draft is better than this year's as well.

Lions would be happy with that one.
Really? Brett Anderson just said this one was deeper?
There's probably not a huge difference, I like some of the guy's coming through though. Dunno how PK feels about them, he's a bigger talent watcher than I am. Top end talent next year is really good so in the context of Port's pick and where they might finish, it's a pretty big risk.

They're probably expecting to improve heaps next season or trade their way back in to the first round next season, both perfectly reasonable ideas too so I guess we gotta wait and see.

Personally don't really see the benefit in Port getting involved in the trade apart from the fact that they now have 3 picks in the top 30 this year.
Still with no Internet.  We need to stockpile some picks for next year due to academy player who will command an early pick.  So happy with trade.

Lyons requests a trade to the Suns, good get for them, hope he goes well!
