Let's assume Gibbs go to Crows

Rank their Top 5 players for me

Guaranteed he is on the list, and probs Top 3

No brainer - give whatever Carlton want

1. Sloane
2. Betts
3. Talia.
4. Laird
5. Lynch

im not crazy as all 5 where in the AA squad (and jenkins was aswell)

then guys like the Crouch Brothers are up there. Gibbs is good but Talia is an AA CHB and Betts is by far the best small forward in the comp. Laird is an elite rebounding half back flanker and then you can argue on Jenkins v Lynch v Gibbs
Gibbs would be the Crows 2nd best mid though...

Exactly and it been said numerous times that the midfield is where they lack a star after Dangerfield left.

That said, I do rate CEY and I reckon he'd be a good fit at the Blues.

As people have stated, Gibbs is the final piece in the Crows premiership puzzle. These A-Grade mids don't pop up on the trade table often, so when one specifically states he wants to go to Adelaide (of all places) you've gotta come to the table.
Oh no please don't use this term. If it backfires we'll cop it big time given the amount of shower we've given Port for their recent premiership puzzle recruits :P

He wants to come here, make it happen Crows! Just make sure to hang up the phone if Carlton start going crazy.

I am sick of hearing this "pieces" to this so called premiership puzzle. Theres no such thing, Ryder was meant to be ports premiership piece. How have they gone so far? Premierships are incredibly hard to win and you need a lot of variables to go your way. But Adelaide are at the table and they've put pick 13 up, Carlton are coming back asking for Cameron. So how about Carlton come to the table, look at pick 13 and stop asking us to pair it with our future stars. For flowering sake, is SOS the new Adrian Dodoro?

kilbluff1985

it's because you're taking the phrase to literally

it means Gibbs is the best option to give Crows the highest chance to win a flag

Okay, forget the puzzle piece analogy.

Your biggest weakness is the gaping hole in your midfield left by Dangerfield.

Gibbs is not Dangerfield, but he is about the closest thing you will get to Dangerfield on the market right now.

You do the math.

Puzzle out.

Haven't read through all these other comments, but I for one believe that Gibbs is the final piece to the Crows premiership puzzle

LOL you are getting way too fired up about this :P

You do realise the stuff reported in the media/social media is not everything that is discussed behind closed doors between the clubs and a lot of what's reported is not totally accurate anyway? Do you think Carlton are just going to roll over and say "oh, our second best player wants to leave, here Adelaide have him for nothing" Of course they're going to explore what the Crows may be willing to give up. It's called negotiating :P

Is he the missing piece to your premiership puzzle?

Or can Collingwood afford him in their salary cap?
