So do you think it is worth selecting on your bench:

1. Rookies that are listed to play in Round 1

or

2. Rookies that will have an impact over the year?????

Round 1, without question.

Imagine if you had picked Jack Watts from the beginning last year? Or even Nic Nat.

Bob the builder

No play No points, gotta have the ones on the park..

valkorum

I agree, gotta be on the park to score points

Yeah the guys who play round 1. If they don't play round 1 there has to be a reason- injury or not AFL ready. If the player is injured set them as a downgrade target and if they're not AFL ready (ie. Jack Watts) don't get them because chances are they'll play 3 games or less and won't score well.

Blueboys

Bit of both but yeah round 1 for sure, it would sucks big time when they play 2 rounds then get dropped until mid year! Kills me! hahaha

shanster

cheers guys.. will definitely look for the round 1s

Resch

last year there were 20.  The number has risen steadily over the last couple of seasons.

Hope there are 20 this year  ;D

Justin Bieber

I can not stress this enough!!. If you are going to choose your benchies make sure it is from a team you already have in your 18, this gives you the most viable chance of your benchie playing if your main 18 is out. I have posted this advice many times. Easy peasy. Example.. say you have a Freo back rookie on your bench..make sure he is a player that will fulfill the role of another back on your 18.

It is a no brainer really
