Are Carlton for real? Why do they insist on keep making Troy Menzel the sub they need to start letting him have full games, He is their future and his not going to develop if he is their sub each week, This is his 4th time in 6 matches he has seen the vest this year. Looking at the team Carlton have put on the field tonight only 2 of them will be still playing in 5 years time, One is Dylan Buckley and who is the other one? TROY FREAKING MENZEL. Carlton need to start looking to the future and giving their youngsters as much time as they can give them.

First they do it with Tom Bell played really well the 2nd game then he was rewarded with the vest for some reason against Melbourne the following week he found himself playing in the VFL to which with no surprise he dominated.

Oh here is an idea lets go out and recruit Sam Docherty lets trade our 2nd round pick for him because we need good young players. Oh look an injury should we play Docherty? No lets play the 33 year old veteran instead he is just what we need for the future. (At least Docherty is playing tonight)

Nick Holman i see you are playing pretty well in the VFL but you would be laughing if you think were giving you a game.

Apart from Dale Thomas, Andrejes Everitt, Dylan Buckley and Troy Menzel has this side actually changed at all in the last 4 years. It seems week in week out month in month out year in year out the exact same 22 walk out everyone round bar a couple of players.

Why do they need to start looking to the future when they would still have their eyes firmly on finals though mate?
I would agree with you if they were completely shot halfway through the year, but atm they need to get their best side clicking for a finals shot

Carlton cannot make the finals and Mick should know this they have the exact same side as several years ago when they were "premiership contenders" every other team let their young kids develop except for Carlton.

Im not saying Mick should announce it to the media im just saying that the current group that they have is not capable of playing finals footy and they showed that in the early rounds of the season, In reality they shouldnt of played last year. They need to make changes to their side and that starts by playing youngsters. Like i said if you were to go back a couple years and compare that side to the side thats running out for Carlton tonight you will see thats its pretty much identical bar a few players.

Yeh I disagree man. They'll push to make finals until it is completely out of the question, and every team in the comp will do the same
