PORT Adelaide defender Lewis Stevenson has suffered another injury setback and has undergone surgery to re-attach a ligament in his toe.

It will see the West Australian miss the next eight weeks in rehabilitation on the Power's long term injury list.

Stevenson had been on track to return from the toe injury, however was unable to get through certain requirements needed to be declared fully fit according to the club's high performance manager Darren Burgess.
