PB glad we finally have someone who can score.

PowerBug

Mitrogolou is in some form right now isn't he?! Hattrick vs Anderlecht, winner vs Panathiniakos, 3 vs Romania over 2 matches. amazing.

Jukes

With that form, maybe he'll be able to score BOTH of Greece's goals this wc :3

PowerBug

If you aren't including the 5 penalty shootout's we win after 6 consecutive 0-0 draws after we win the first two games 1-0, then yes I agree with you.

Kellogscrunchynut

Worked for us at the 2004 Euros.

Me and my brother had planned to go. I was going to take a gap year and he's just finished Uni. Then we thought about it logically; about 10 grand for plane tickets/accommodation/game tickets, and there is the possibility we could get stabbed.

We decided against it :P

You'd think they would invest into at least some form of security for tourists.

Might go to the next one.

I reckon youd be fine at the venues and if your in a quality hotel but if your out and about during the day or night on the grog id be wanting to do it in good numbers just to be sure your safe.

Mailman the 2nd

Countries always invest thousands into security for these kind of events.

The problem is much much further than that though, going into the World Cup will be fine, but getting back to your hotel? Good Luck

Agreed id be wanting to be in a crowd of Aussie fans or jump in with the pom's lol.

"One world cup stadium's roof collapsed and it has been condemned.
Two other stadiums will not be completed in time, several other stadiums are far behind schedule.
Only 10% of planned infrastructure improvements have been completed.
Not enough hotel rooms for fans in any of the site cities, not even Rio.
Protesters stormed the Brazilian Congress building and say they will protest to disrupt the world cup when it starts.
Fans in Brazil throwing bombs at opposing teams, decapitating refs and sticking their heads on a pike."

This Brazil World Cup will be a huge failure. Why don't they just move it to here or the UK already, lots of high-quality stadiums and not the flowering third world.

Jukes

Just imagine
England vs Brazil final
England wins on penalties
Brazilians go apeshower and start killing foreigners
England, US, Canada and the rest of the Anglosphere declare war on Brazil
Lots of sugar cane and coffee for the taking

I see this as a very real possibility

CrowsFan

England in the final? You're dreaming!
