Team History

After a challenging innagural year at Bilston, the Bunnies moved the franchise to the sunny holiday town of Blackpool. Encouraged by the generous offer made by the local council and sponsors, it was also an easy decision to make based on the new ground and facilities.

The Bunnies play home matches at the magnificent Bloomfield Road a 17,338-capacity all-seater football stadium at Blackpool, Lancashire. It is noe the permanent home of Blackpool Bunnies F.C. and is named after the road on which the stadium's main entrance used to stand.

In a trade move that has surprised some Chris Mayne has been traded to the Bradford Badgers for Jack Fitzpatrick and an exchange of draft picks

In Jack we see a 10year player who can develop in time to be a dominant forward/ruck. Gaining a second first round pick also allows us to bring some quality young into a developing team. Chris has been a wonderful addition to our football club and we wish him all the best.

Trade 3

In massive trade news Bunnies Captain Dayne Beams has been traded to the Huddersfield Hawks in exchange for the Hawks Captain and reigning best and fairest Josh P. Kennedy. As part of the deal the Bunnies also receive up and coming defender Dean Rampe in exchange for National Draft pick 98.

Bunnies are very happy to be welcoming Josh and Dane to the team. Losing Dayne is certainly something we had not planned for, but this is a trade that works for everyone.

Young Bunny Elliott Kavanagh has been traded to the Nottingham Hoods. Along with Kavanagh, Bunnies give Pick 62 and Receive Picks 43 in National draft and Pick 13 in Rookie Draft.

We did petition the council to change based on how we wanted our name to appear rather than how it has been since the town started, but they threw it out.

We have had to adopt theirs 

The 2,000,000 Pound grant they gave us to move has helped contain our dissappointment!

Blackpool Bunnies are very happy to announce the #1 Ticket holder for the upcoming 2014 season will be Raquel Pomplun.

Raquel Pomplun was crowned the Playboy Playmate of the year 2013 and we are very happy to have a Bunny loving sports enthuiast as our number 1 ticket holder. Raquel will be available at the ground later today to sign autographs and have some photos with her and team Captain Josh Kennedy.
