oh yeah, it's a key feature to democracy, and we really should have it in our constitution

but we don't

so technically we don't have the right to free speech. :P

This is true. All we have is an implied right to political communication. Pretty boring compared to freedom of speech.

Colliwobblers

@ ELE and LF

I did say i was "generalizing"  but i think it was fair to say it was a large portion of the crowd, still we will see if the eagles fans are the only ones when this all gets closer to coming to a head, may not be alone in booing bombers.

i didn't like it but as i always try to make clear on here, i am only one voice. one opinion.

Pies (me) but not me personnaly have had issues with fans and racism, there is issues and shameful moments in lots of clubs supporter bases over history.

I just " IN GENERAL" don't like the boooooooing of the eagles crowd !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I admire how they all clap a good play / kick, and their support is second to none for their team, I'd just like to hear more clapping and cheering and less booooooooooooing. ;)

but if you want to make a team feel like it's on the other side of the country in hostile territory maybe that boooooooing is part of what needs to happen to create that atmosphere.

so maybe i should respect the eagles fans / crowd even more for the part they play in the HGA for their team....

but i still dont like the boo :)  it gets to me like the DUCKING.

AS FOR THE DUCKING - I HAVE NOTICED THERE HAS BEEN NONE - ZERO - ZIP OF IT FOR A FEW WEEKS IN WA  :o

Credit where credit is due, I may have missed one but I have seen no ducking or playing for free kicks from the eagles for weeks.

And I do like how when Shuey has gone low and not got the free he just pushes through the tackle back into or out of the contest and plays on with no sooking or reminstration.

so as a regular basher of the eagles :)  for what one opinion is worth mine for the team and players is improving rapidly ;)

also liked how the players of the eagles seemed to give a shower about watson after the game too, just a look and a nod or a pat on the shoulder seemed to say a lot so credit there also to the players.

you do the crime you do the time and reap what you sow, but that said you still should respect people who mistakes aside are worthy of that respect.

as for watson being innocent until proven guilty... he's admitted his 'guilt' in taking the drug, the only question now is whether it was illegal or not at the time.

He's admitted to taking the AOD but thats not an admittance of guilt.

It's only an admittance of guilt if he was proven to take the drugs when they were illegal. The jury is still out.

And as for your comment about our constitution, as a democratic state, a key feature of this political system is power to the people/freedom of speech.
Legal when we took it
