Griffen.... Last year he would punch out the 170s and the next week only a 60. Has found some consistency!

MOSCOW CHARGE TOWARDS AN EIGTH STRAIGHT VICTORY

Paul Seedsman evades an opponent on his way to 34 possessions and 119 points.

The players are coaching staff all knew that this was a MUST-WIN match for Moscow after the representative round break in our bid for a home qualifying final, and they delivered. Poor performances from star players such as Shaw (70), Fyfe (68), Ward (68), Naitanui (73) and Martin (73) well covered by huge scores from other players. RYAN GRIFFEN continued his amazing run of form with a superb 148 as captain, while his Western Bulldogs teammate ROBERT MURPHY provided super defensive work on his way to 133. Youngster PAUL SEEDSMAN scored 119 from 34 possessions, 15 marks and 3 tackles to continue the bright start to his career. Returning from injury, JAMES FRAWLEY provided a super 114 as cover for Charlie Dixon, who may not return instantly from his injury after great form from Shaw, Murphy, Hombsch and Frawley.

The reserves were very good despite losing by 49 points. Coming off 4 scores of under 50 points in the past 6 matches (including a 23 and a 31) 23, 87 (win), the team scored 106 points due to many players not of best XV quality making appearances. This was highlighted of course by a HUGE 152 by TYRONE VICKERY who will surely press for senior selection next week. Tyrone had 18 possessions, 11 marks, 3 tackles and 16 hitouts in a super display. Other players on the verge of senior selection who had an impact on the scoreline include Will Hoskin-Elliot (89), Leigh Adams (106), Steven May (56) and Jonathan Ceglar (69).

We are full of confidence that we can move further up the ladder after poor showings by the three teams above us. Mexico City scored 139 in a fortunate 5-point victory over the 13th placed Tokyo, Buenos Aires only scored 112 in an ugly 16 point victory over 15th placed New Dehli, while Sao Paulo lost at home to Cairo 131 to 140. Moscow are now equal on points with Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires on 10 wins 2 losses and are full on confidence that we can overtake them, given the recent depth troubles Buenos Aires have suffered and the fact that Sao Paulo still have a trip to Mexico City. We moved two games clear of 5th place after Cape Town lost to PNL. Moscow will most likely win every game in the run home (Pacific, Dublin, Cape Town, New Dehli and Tokyo), placing lots of pressure on Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo to win every game they have to come.

Ryan Griffen in unbelievable form. Must be great!

Jukes

yeah Griff has been outstanding, on the line of breaking into my bro-tier group of players (Stants, Cloke, Zacka and Watto).

Season average of 127 (22 up on 2012)
Averages 134.8 without his injury-affected 53.
Last seven has been 169, 101, 136, 176, 129, 143 and 148 at an average of 143.

All the way back at $81 for Brownlow, getting on him to place wouldn't be a bad idea.

ossie85

Seriously at $81 for the Brownlow? That's crazy talk for an almost certain All-Aus midfielder this year.

A bit close for comfort Jukes....

We had a terrible week, both up top (Shaw 115 was our best score- last week we had three above that and a 114) and down bottom (38, 23, 55). Swinging the axe this week- out go Hombsch, Ward and Darling, in come Fletcher, Thomas and Adams.

Ryan Griffen is storming ahead in both the best and fairest and MVP awards due to his superb season as captain, and with only 2 home and away matches plus 1-4 finals to come it looks as if he's almost wrapped it up, especially with his superb recent form. Dusty has performed well the last two weeks- picking up 9 out of a possible 10 best and fairest votes in two disappointing losses; he'll have to find another gear if he wants to claim either award.

Nic Nat a body blow for Moscow's hopes?

Tucky did well in the ruck last week :P

The rest of the team will have to perform slightly better in his absence, he was playing pretty bad anyway.

Would love a miracle and Gault or Ceglar plays. Will definitely trade for a ruck.
