Did a quick (didn't double for captaincy) estimation based off 2012's points

DEF: Beau Waters 121, Danny Stanley118, Paul Duffield110, Jared Brennan 96 = 445

MID: Joel Selwood 136, Shane Tuck 136 , Sam Mitchell 133, David Mundy 115 = 520

RUC: Ben McEvoy 110

FWD: Dustin Martin 113, Jordan Lewis 120 , Nick Riewoldt 122 , Sharrod Wellingham 110 = 465

UTI: Nathan Fyfe 117, Daniel Cross 115 = 232

Adamant average: 1,772

D - Grimes 120, Scotland 122, McPharlin 94, Newman 93 = 429
M - Kelly 128, Montagna 129 , Griffen 126, Anthony 125 = 508
R - Roughead 125
F - Franklin 150, Pavlich 136, Bartel 127, J. Brown 112 = 525
Int - Kornes 117, Hayes 123 = 240

Hong Kong Average: 1,827

Now I didn't take the sub games out, but that should slightly favour Ada with Mundy and Fyfe getting a bit of a boost... but not a 50 point boost.

However not including a double captaincy score cancels that out...

As Franklin 150x2 = 300 vs. Tuck 136x2 = 272..

Makes up a larger difference than if we were to take sub games into account. It'd be an extra 28 points in our favour with the captaincy.

fyfe will smash that 117 average more like 140 this season for him, maybe anthony will lift a bit too it's hard to call both of you have pretty much all maxed out players. Mitchell had a shower season too but he might be past it?

going to be tight at the top, but then again all my kids will break out for 150+ average seasons this year and we will take the whole thing out while you guys look for supplements to keep your old dogs running  ;D

Good work Nails, but even taking out Mundy and Fyfe's sub affected games, their average is still SEVERELY affected.

Realistically, Mundy and Fyfe will both go 135+ next year providing they stay fit. Fyfe in particular could go 140-150.

Brennan had a horror season, he'll bounce back to the 100+ mark.

Martin also had a horror season and still averaged 113. Imagine what he'll do this year after a killer pre-season...

Duffield, Tuck, NRoo and Cross all have sub affected games ruining their averages too.

Not to mention your oldies in Scotland, McPharlin, Newman, Bartel, Cornes and Hayes all on the decline.

Taking all that into account, my team will outscore yours, but it will be very close.

Nails

Adam, you realise Mundy has never even touched 135 average in his career?

Most of our players should improve and if you take a look at your depth... you're in trouble.

We got 90s average defender cover

115+ midfield cover

and 100+ fwd cover

If your team were to trade out Wellingham or similar... You'd have to play Staker as a fwd in the first 6 rounds. He'll be struggling for 85.

Trade a starting mid, your best 2 options are either Rischi or Moloney... good luck getting 95+ out of them

You're probably equal or slightly weaker in the back cover department.

Anthony, Griffen, Roughead, Buddy, J. Brown should all improve.

135 is crazy for Mundy, he has never got close to that and he's screwed if Fyfe goes down. Has a TERRIBLE average with Fyfe out, cause he gets smashed w/ tags etc.

Mitchell should go down hill he's older than any of our top 4 mids. Mundy is injury prone. Tuck should go downhill. Nick Roo getting old. Wellingham will be playing a tagging role and drop average @ WCE. Cross is getting on 30yo this season. Fyfe's should could go POP any minute.

You guys are forgetting a few teams rated as highly as yours one higher.

The Folders - Captain Swan + the highest ranking

The Dolphins - Captain Ablett

The Lambs - Captain Murphy (meh)

You need to remember these guys will destroy opposition teams when their captains go nuts.

Swan top 10 scores for 2012:

249 , 235, 227, 222, 218, 190, 187, 170, 166, 160

Ablett top 10 scores for 2012:

238, 234, 215, 202, 201, 189, 187, 180, 174, 172

Franklin can match those scores, and when he kicked 15 he scored 327 but that happened once only next highest was 191.

The Vice captain should help us too though. Provided Pav doesn't drop off too far.

220, 213, 190, 166, 165 and 162.

yes two power forwards was a good strategy, and this is wh we just HAD TO HAVE the vice captain rule, those elite few as captains give a very strong advantage, however Swan and Ablett won't play forever....

BUT BEAMS WILL

Nails

Imagine a week where we had Buddy C and Pav VC

Buddy 320 Pav 220....

Record setting AXVs score there just w/ C and VC lol

KoopKicka

Pendles + Ebert will smash you all.

Jay

Kieren Jack and Steele Sidebottom is a lethal C/VC combo. 135+ players both taken in the first round of our draft :o

Toga

Murphy might not have the greatest 2012 stats but we feel he is a good captain option, Mick should help him improve and when he breaks those tags that 140 (unsubbed) average could well turn into 155 8)

Also don't forget about our VC Ryan O'Keefe who averaged 155 over the last 5 rounds of 2012. Or another leadership option in JRoo who will once again dominate and go 200+ against weaker teams!

Get ready for the lambs! 8)

Dane Swan and Brendon Goddard. Nuff said

Defence:      Jack Watts, Alex Rance, Brodie Smith, Daniel Nicholson

Midfield:      Jack Redden (C), Michael Barlow (VC), Scott Selwood, Travis Boak, Dylan Shiel, Liam Shiels

Rucks:         Todd Goldstein

Forwards:    Taylor Walker, Alex Fasolo, Stewart Crameri, Johnathon Patton

Looks nice and youngish. Patton isn't ideal at F4, but can have many potential swaping in that area.
