The Steins would like to welcome to the club Kieran Jack, Ryan O'Keefe and Josh Jenkins who are really keen to get out on the field and do their best for the club.

After requesting to move back to their home towns, both Hayden Crozier and Luke Delaney have been traded to Liverpool. The Steins faithful would like to wish them the best for the future. But as 2 leave, 2 arrive. 203cm, 19 year old Ruckman Sam "The crayfish" Naismith and half back Dan Nicholson have joined the Steins as part of the trade with the Lobsters. News

-After quite alot of boozy lunches and games of golf the Steins are proud to announce the "liverpool Lobster" are now the main rivals of the Steins. This news just comes days after it was announced that Hayden Crosier and Tom Couch would be joining the club. The Steins would like to wish traded players Billie Smedts and Jarryn Geary all the best for their futures

-Also the Steins and the Lobsters would like to announce that during round 7, the Rival round, the Steins and the Lobsters will be playing for The LiveStein Cup.

-The Steins would also like to welcome a new coach to the ranks with R.Griffen joining as an assistant coach whilst he waits to see who gets the vacant coaching role. Along with R.Griffen, noto07 has also joined the Steins as an assistant. Welcome to both coaches

-The Steins would also like to wish Adam McPhee all the best in his retirement and would like to thanks him for all the help and leadership he has given the club. The Steins are also hopeful that players Nathan Gordon and Rhys Cooyou get selected in the Rookie draft after being delisted by their associated club.

-During the National draft, the Steins with picks 16, 21, 26 and 52 were able to select Kristian Jaksch, Jesse Hogan, Jed Anderson and Dean Terlich. On behalf of the Steins, i would like to welcome these players to the Steins and hope they enjoy there time here.

-During the Rookie draft, the Steins with picks 16 and 21 were able to select Brandon Jack and Jesse O'Brien. On behalf of the Steins, i would like to welcome these players to the Steins and hope they enjoy there time here.

-The Steins would like to wish all the best for Nathan Gordon and Rhys Cooyou after being overlooked in the rookie draft. On the same note the Steins would like to welcome Ben Rutten, Jason Blake and Ciaran Kilkenny.

-The Steins are saddened the decision of Ciaran Kilkenny to return home to Ireland for family reasons. The Steins would like to wish Ciaran all the best for the future. The Steins would also like to announce the signing of Jeremy McGovern to replace Ciaran Kilkenny.

-The Steins have announced that Brandon Jack, Jesse O'Brien, Tom Couch and Jeremy McGovern have been placed on the Steins Rookie list.

-The Steins don't wish to comment on the off field discipline issues revolving around Dane Swan but would like to wish him all the best at this new club after Dane. this comes after Dane, along with Lewis Jetta and Claye Beams were traded to the Swansea Breakers during the 2nd trade period for Kieran Jack, Ryan O'Keefe and Josh Jenkins.

-In breaking news, the Steins can confirm that their key forward Matthew Pavlich and ruckman Darren Jolly have asked to be traded to the Crosby Crusiers so that they can return home to be closer to their families. The Steins would like to wish them all the best in their futures.

-The Steins would like to welcome to the club, Chris Judd and Ricky Henderson after negotiations between player managers and the Crusiers fell apart. A win for the Steins

-The Steins would like to announce the signing of senior assistant coach Scrads to the Steins. Scrads brings years of coaching knowledge from the Euro's league to the Steins and will be a great addition to the already outstanding coaching department.

-It bad news for the Steins as it has been confirmed that Matt Suckling has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament during last weekends intraclub game and will now require a full knee reconstruction. The club will be providing Matt with the best surgeon and rehab plan to ensure that he gets back on the field next year when he is ready and 100% fit to play.

-With Suckling rupturing his ACL and now going in for surgery, the Steins have placed Suckling on the LTI list. With Suckling being placed on the LTI list, young rookie James Magner has been elevated to the main list. The Steins have been very happy with the way James has been progressing and said that "He (James) was unlucky not to be part of the main list when drafted by the Steins, but with his work ethic at training and during the intraclub games, he was always going to get elevated to the main list it was only a matter of time."

-With a deep heart the Steins are said to announce the retirement of premiership back Marty Mattner. We would like to wish Marty all the best in his retirement from playing footy, but would also like to announce that he will stay on as a backs coach at the Steins. With the announcement of Mattner retiring, the Steins would like to announce the elevation of Brandon Jack to the seniors list with Brandon to be an emergency this weekend

-We can confirm that Josh Jenkins is out for the rest of the season after fracturing his ankle in the 2 point win over the Giants. At this stage, we (The SSFC) are unsure if Jenkins will be fit for round 1 next year. We dont want to push him and it is a long time away. We just want to wish Josh the best in his recuperation and hopee to see him on the field asap. On another note with Josh's injury he has been placed on the LTI list with Tom Couch being elevated to the seniors list. The only person left on the rookie list is Jeremy McGovern who is still battling a groin injury.

-Other news to hand, with the changing of the Head coach at the Lobsters, the SSFC would like to announce that ex-head coach of the lobsters "Monstrum" has joined the SSFC as a senior coach. This should make the rivalry even more heated now. Good luck to Nigey, the new head coach of the Lobstes, hopefully the board will hold onto him for more than half a season

-Another LTI for the Steins with Rhys Stanley out for the rest of the year with a broken collarbone. We wish Rhys all the best in his recovery and rehabilitation but wont be filling his spot on the main list due to an injury to Jeremy McGovern.

-Staines Steins give Matt Suckling for Birmingham give Hamish Hartlett

-Lobsters give: Sam Naismith and Dan Nicholson for Steins give: Hayden Crozier and Luke Delaney
