2008 AFL Draft Review: Adelaide
It has been nearly a year since the 2008 AFL draft, so before the 2009 draft comes along there will be reviews posted looking at how well the clubs drafted last time, and for the fantasy AFL potential of some of the young players.

Phil Davis
Shaun McKernan
Rory Sloane
Thomas Lee
Will Young

The Crows went big, which was a good idea. So this draft was more for the future, and in a few years the Crows may have Davis at centre half back and McKernan at centre half forward.

Sloane seemed to be ready to play last season but the Crows have plenty of smaller options, he should be useful for them when they select him.

Adelaide had a solid draft in 2008, and will be hoping that Davis or McKernan become a star as they need someone who can take over a game and they are not trading to find that type of player.

Fantasy AFL 2010: Davis would be someone expected to play plenty of games, and as Otten had a big year for fantasy AFL in 2009 then Davis may have a similar season in 2010. Davis could be used in a variety of roles, so the stats could be there as a defender, forward or big midfielder for the Crows. McKernan might be able to get minutes in the ruck or up forward, depending on injuries to other players.
