Now that preseason is done and dusted, who do people think will provide the best value for money?

Feel free to post a player (over $180k) and the reason why.

For me, its been Patty Dangerfield.

His preseason scores support the idea that he is thriving under Sanderson and, at $340k, he could be one of the cheapest forward keeper this year - easily eclipsing the likes of Gray and Sidebottom. Plus, Adelaide's draw is by far the most DT-friendly.

Yeah Gray is overrated, wouldn't choose him. Sidey yeah same, poor pre-season form, have to be overlooked.

Yeah for value Paddy D, but he has burned me two years straight so...

Dangerfield has never shown this much this early, I reckon this has to be his year.

Nope.

im playing it safe and going danger, sidebottom and gray

besides the rookies and under 200k players i think waters could present the most value.

Dangerfield will offer plenty of upsize but his not thhe best value in terms of points for dollar players it would be one of the rookies, and if i had to have a stab in the dark id say somebody like a Giles.

Perhaps I should edit the original post to exclude rookies. Obviously they'll offer great value for money.

of midpricers somebody like a mccarthy, masten, parker look to have massive upside. Less than dangermouse and will possibly score similar.

I am going to step outside the box and pop Mzungu in the mix?? I think he might pull a fyfe or better since he is a mature ager 25?? I think?? Might push upto a 100+ player and become a keeper? Perhaps outside the usual subjects who have 200 topics posted about them already...

I know he aint going to make you that much but i believe he is good value as he will become a keeper and is very unique

Mark my words lock in 100+ for Mzungu. Forget Barlow, Morabito neither would force Mzungu out of the Freo side if there was only 1 spot available. Only Mundy would.

I think the best value for money player is HMac.

Agree with everything but not Hmac.. I think he is going to let a lot of ppl down this year

I reckon best value player of 2012 will be one of McCarthy, Caddy or Masten. Hopefully it's the one I have in my team!

thollo

Masten is shizen, always has a good pre-season and does flower all in the regular season. Does this every year, for your own good do not get sucked in!!

Alternatively I think waters is value for money, is really a premium. Hmac and Goldstein take points from each other as was evident on the weekend. The only reason to get either of them is if one gets injured

Tyes

Anyone keen on Hale? Killed the pre season and Bailey going down can only help his scoring.
