Alex Johnson too please Colli

   Alex Johnson
#34   Sydney Swans
Age: 20yr    Games: 21     Born: March 2, 1992
Height: 193cm     Weight: 84kg     Position: Defender
Last Drafted: Round 3, Pick #57 2010 National Draft
Last Drafted By: Sydney Swans
Supercoach Price: $335,500
Dreamteam Price: $274,000

Johnson proved one of the great discoveries of the 2011 season and was unlucky not to earn a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination.

Considered a long-term prospect in his first year in Sydney, the key defender was surprised to get his first senior call-up in round three against West Coast.

He played 20 of 22 games following his debut, missing two matches due to minor injuries, and has a tremendous future.

A forward as a youngster, he may see time up the ground as he continues to develop.

Draft history: 2010 NAB AFL Draft 3rd round selection (Sydney) No. 57 overall.

Mid Priced Player Rating (DEF) 6.5/10 - Bit harsh but here we have another key defender. Will get much better and score better this season only his 2nd. JS is great he is clearly in the best 22 but does not play a fantasy friendly role. Scored well against the GWS Giants and that is a better score than any from last season. Will likely not score so well against better sides. Would have to say pass, although he will score consistantly and play consistantly he is not likely to make you a lot of cash and  certainly won't be a keeper.

Hi mate, this post is unreal!!! Have looked at quite a few already, but can't help but notice that Dan Hannebery isnt there and nor is Mitch Clark. Would love to see what you have on them. Keep it up buddy (and go the pies! lol)

Daniel Hannebery
#4   Sydney Swans
Age: 21yr 1mth    Games: 53     Born: February 24, 1991
Height: 182cm     Weight: 78kg     Position: Midfield
Last Drafted: Round 2, Pick #30 2008 National Draft
Last Drafted By: Sydney Swans
Supercoach Price: $456,600
Dreamteam Price: $394,600

After claiming the 2010 NAB AFL Rising Star award, Hannebery had a quiet start to 2011.

He found top form through the middle of the season to end the year second at the club in handballs (243), fourth in disposals (497) and seventh in the best and fairest.

Hannebery averaged just under 25 possessions between rounds 13 and 24 before his shoulder troubles resurfaced in the finals.

Had off-season surgery and the courageous midfielder will be hoping to leave his shoulder problems behind him in 2012.

Looms as a future leader.

Player honours: 2010 NAB AFL Rising Star.

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 7/10 - Not cheap but not surprising, didn't improve his scoring on his 2010 rising star (SYD) winning season but was solid enough all the same. Has had shoulder surgery over the pre-season late last year and knee surgery this year to boot. Is fit and will/has recovered well from both. A solid hit out in NAB #4 and a quiter game in round 1 against GWS, seeing only 69% TOG for a return of 44 DT points. Should improve this season being his 3rd year should breakout but is a risk at his price and given the slow start and potential of being eased into the season will make a GREAT downgrade/upgrade target if he continues to score poorly for the next few games and can be picked up cheaper before hitting form and increasing his scoring. WATCH.

Was in fine form early in the NAB Cup before a broken arm in the second round against Melbourneâ€"the third of his careerâ€"derailed his season. The small forward returned in round two, but was dropped after two matches and played only one of the next nine matches. The 27-year-old played in Essendon’s final 11 games and kicked 14 goals, but will be expected to have a more consistent and prolific output in 2012.

Mid Priced Player Rating (FWD) 6.5/10 - So hard to rate, borderline in the best 22, I think they need him and want him but am totally unsure how to take the fact he only played in seconds rather than a full game in the final dress rehersal NAB #4. Never been a great fantasy pick and I will go out on a limb and say he never will be. Think in a great season you can expect a cieling of 70 from him. Hurley coming into form and holding marks will only further limit his crumbing scoring up FWD.

Jonathan Patton is an eighteen-year-old forward from Rowville in Victoria.

With a massive on field presence, speed and an ability to take outstanding contested marks, Jonathan is one of the most exciting young prospects in the AFL whose playing style has been likened to Brisbane great, Jonathan Brown.

Jonathan played his junior football with St Simons and Scoresby before joining the Eastern Rangers in the TAC Cup.

In 2010, he was awarded the best and fairest player award at the Eastern Rangers despite being a bottom age player and was a member of the AIS AFL Academy squad.

In 2011, Jonathan racked up 44 marks and 17 goals in the first six rounds of the TAC Cup competition. This impressive performance earned him a spot in Vic Metro’s winning side in the 2011 NAB AFL Under 18 Championship. Jonathan was a stand out in the national carnival and was named in the forward line of the 2011 Under 18 All Australian squad.

The GWS GIANTS selected Jonathon Patton with their first overall selection in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft.

Rookie Player Rating (FWD) 5/10 - Gun key forward, #1 draft pick, will play this season and when he goes should live up to the hype and be better than he was before the op. Does play a key role however and won't be the best fantasy scorer around I would assume, not too many key position players are and especially not in thier first, second or even 3rd years. Takes time to develop tho that may be accelerated given how good he is naturally. Might make a nice downgrade target mid season when he returns if he scores well his first two games, but at the inflated price of the #1 pick he will likely need to score badly and drop in price in his first couple of games (sub affected?) and then be a suitable pick up.

The disciplined midfielder played every game and lead the AFL in tackles (202), finals included, to emerge in his fourth season as one of the competition’s shutdown specialists. Chris Judd was his biggest scalp in round 14, but he is close to graduating from run-with duties after ranking top five at West Coast for clearances and contested possessions. Is a member of the leadership group.
Draft history: 2007 NAB AFL Draft 2nd round selection (West Coast) No. 22 overall.

2011 Wrap: Here we have arguably the #1 tagger in the game, definately the #1 pressure player in teh game. Played every game scored 3 tons with a high of 114 likely a cieling given his run with role. 6 scores under 90 with a low of 55, overall an extremely consistant year. Improvement in him yet and his scoring could creap up a little more, but not much given his role which will never change. He is simply too good at what he does. But then again will he be a tagger forever?

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 7.5/10 - There is talk of him NOT being a tagger and he was on two occassions in NAB CUP given licence to run free. If released from his tagging role he could be a fantasy star, the question is will he be and how often? the answer lies more outside of his control than in it. He is the number 1 pressure player in the comp and who else can do his role at the club as well as he can? On the other side of the equasion IF the likes of Shuey and Masten and Gaff and Stevens step up into silky skilled free running midfielders what need for S Selwood to take on a similar role. Tons of ability and all wasted for fantasy purposes as a tagger. Wouldn't risk starting him but if he scores lowly as a tagger and clearly gets a new role prepare to jump on.

Yes the rating is harsh but Iit would be an expensive gamble i feel, but mine is just one opinion....

Adam Kennedy is a 19-year-old midfielder from the Western Jets in Victoria.

After an exciting junior football career, Kennedy narrowly missed selection in the 2010 Under 18 Carnival for Vic Metro.

Despite being overlooked in the 2010 draft, Kennedy worked hard and was selected in the Vic Metro side in the 2011 National Carnival and was named captain of the Jets.

Kennedy amassed 20 disposals against Western Australia and 19 disposals against South Australia in an impressive carnival performance.

Rookie Player Rating (MID/FWD) 9/10 - Rated up now as his break even will be far into the negatives, even subbed games or poor scores for 5 or 6 games will see him make some handy cash, this is unlikely however has a year on a lot of the younger Giant rooks and has proven himself worthy of a spot in the best 22. Sheeds will rotate players heavily howeveer as stated in a recent interview after the game he will want at least 6 games into all his players over the season. Not a lot of JS for most Giant rooks but this one is as good as it can be at this early stage. Lock and Load best of the Giants FWD rooks. Even though none of us knew it until NAB #4.

Premium Player Rating (FWD) 7.5/10 - Can't get much better than he already is, will be the #1 target again for the weagles up FWD but still has the Cue Stick and Cox competing for ball as tall targets. Showed what he can do with a 10 Goal haul against the hapless doggies last season but otherwise was very inconsistant as tall fwds are. Will be a risky pick for this reason adn would suggest avoiding "most" key tall forwards. Looks likely to play round 1 after missing entire NAB CUP with a foot.

Mid Priced Player Rating (MID) 8.5/10 - cheep cheep like a chicken, I read somewhere our friend Whatlez talking him up as a "BIG SMOKIE", well there is one post Whatlez can go back to after 2012 and say "I told you so". Played well right through the nab cup, was clearly best on ground in round 1 v GWS and earnt the medal to prove it. Should improve his average on last season, whether enough to earn a keepers spot in your midfield is the only question. As Mummy gets better at winning taps he will get more ball as he is very good in hard and close around the stoppages. Would have been a brave pick at his price but has started at a score I think is possible for him to average in 2012. Missed the boat or do you have him?

According to your stats, Kennedy didn't get a vote despite 10 goals???

http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/brownlow_medal?year=2011

He got the 3 votes for that effort in round 9.

The brownlow votes posted 2010: 3 votes career 3 votes is a typo on SYD website it is 2011 votes  but he also has 7 in his career in my understanding

Justin Bieber

The swans Kennedy I recon is a fair mid pricer this year, but has already played...

Josh Tynan please Colli

WHO?  :o

Josh Tynan
#46   Melbourne Demons
Age: 18yr 4mth    Games: 0     Born: November 6, 1993
Height: 186cm     Weight: 76kg     Position: Defender
Last Drafted: Round 3, Pick #52 2011 National Draft
Last Drafted By: Melbourne Demons
Supercoach Price: $106,600
Dreamteam Price: $98,700

Brave, persistent and poised, Tynan is a good decision-maker who will need to add bulk to his frame. From Garfield, Tynan played above his height as a defender for Gippsland Power, but has the capacity to play on smalls or mediums. A versatile type, he excelled in the 2011 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships for Vic Country and had a good finals series.

Tynan represented Vic Country at the 2011 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and was the No.1 ranked player for intercept marks across the carnival. He has played 28 games with Gippsland in the past two seasons, averaging the fifth-most rebound 50s and the ninth-most intercept possessions of any player in 2011.

ROUND 1: Named on interchange (sub unknown)

Rookie Player Rating (DEF) 8/10 - Well I must admit he was far from my radar and about just as far from my awareness. A big heart hard at it fearless, words used to describe him by coaching staff, and what might it be that the Dee's need a lot more of! Likely candidate for the vest as he sure needs to add some bulk to his frame but played well enough in NAB CUP and trained well enough in preseason to win over the coaches confidence. Seems to play bigger than he is and can go fwd or back. Nice find certainly not in thier best 22, but since when have the Dee's best 22 been thier best 22.
