Gysberts might be dropped next week and make you $0 cash. If you dont plan to keep him for the rest of the year why not. Might be on the bubble for the rest of the year.

Someone said there was 24 melbourne players who haven't played 9 games or more. So job security wise i would be wary. Coach might try them 2 games and go from there.

I wouldnt make that trade.  No guarentee that Gysberts will play a string of games (which is what you want from a trade like this)

Listen to what you just said.  You want to make a trade because you dont want your 'bench cover' to play and you are covering it up by saying you want to upgrade Kennelly.

That is what 'bench cover' players do, they come on the field for players who are injured or suspended.  I would save the trade and wait for Kennelly to come back.  Davis is only $177k and still has more money to make.
